Gisela's work is developed through the articulation between architectural practices, artistic creation and research. She explores themes of Public Space, Philosophy of the City, Urban Aesthetics, Urban Studies, Art for Public Space and Performativity, experimenting, in an urban context and through disciplinary crossings, an aesthetic, immaterial, discursive and performative interference, which seeks to transform space of public use into effective public space - the "common place". She is a researcher with a scholarship (FCT - Research Grant Ref. 2022/50) at the RG Philosophy & Public Space of the Institute of Philosophy of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Porto, where she is developing her PhD project. She is co-founder of the cultural cooperative Limina, based in Porto, where she is artistic director and curator. Master in Architecture by Escola Superior Artística do Porto with the dissertation/project "Preencher o vazio urbano - Casa do Artista em Vila Real" and Master in Art and Design in Public Space by Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade do Porto, with the dissertation/project "Lugar-cidade-tempo: a performatividade da experiência estética em contexto urbano".
