Curriculum Vitae
Irandina Afonso is a Ph.D. student at the Doctoral Program in Philosophy of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Porto. Ph.D. Studentship holder funded by FCT Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (the Portuguese national funding agency for science, research and technology). Master degree in Contemporary Philosophy at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Porto and Degree in Philosophy at the same Faculty. Researcher at the RG Philosophy & Public Space of the Institute of Philosophy of the University of Porto (R&D Unit/FIL/00502).Member of the International Network Philosophy and Public Space (PaPSIN) and member of the Red Internacional de Investigación Filosofía y Ciudad.
Research domains include: contemporary identity politics, philosophy of the city and public space, contemporary subjectivity, non-binary gender studies, social and political thinking.
