    Joaquim José Jacinto Escola, Assistant Professor of definitive appointment of the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro.

    Master in Contemporary Philosophy from the University of Coimbra, PhD in Education from the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (2003).

    Integrated member of the R & D Center - Institute of Philosophy of the University of Porto. He also participates in two foreign research centers: member of the Comparative Education R & D Center of the University of Salamanca (Spain) and the LAGERES of the Federal University of Paraíba - Brazil.

    Academic management:

    Coordinator of the Professionalization in Service of UTAD between 2007 and 2010; Coordinator of the Teaching Qualification Courses between 2009 and 2013; Vice-President of the School of Human and Social Sciences between 2009 and 2013; President of the Pedagogical Council of the School of Human and Social Sciences between 2009 and 2013; Director of the Department of Education and Psychology between 2009 and 2017; Director of the Doctoral Course in Educational Sciences between 2011 and 2013. From 2003 to 2018 he managed several undergraduate and masters courses.

    9 books published and 98 chapters of books published in national and international publishers, with emphasis on Editora Afrontamento, Porto Editora, Instituto Piaget in Portugal, Editora Cortez in Brazil, Editora Andavira in Spain.
